Travelling by Bus in Devon has just got 'E'asier
Posted on: 1 August 2012
Bus passengers in Devon can now access Local Area Bus Times on line, thanks to the launch of the popular guides as free interactive e-books.
Each e-book provides residents and visitors with comprehensive information regarding local bus services within a particular area of Devon, together with a summary of rail and National Express Coach services and maps of bus routes, and are useful sources for anyone planning to use public transport to travel to work or for days out.
The guides are available to view or download from both the JourneyDevon www.journeydevon.info/wheredoistart/businformation.ashx and Devon County Council websites.
Cabinet member for Highways and Transportation, Cllr Stuart Hughes says; “This is a quick and simple way to access all the information needed to travel around Devon by bus. There are clear instructions, lists of bus operators and timetables all at the click of a button. On the Journey Devon website there is also plenty of other information on planning your journey through an interactive map and also how to text to get the bus time at a bus stop. The network of bus operators in Devon is an important part of the transport infrastructure and I am sure that this will make it easier for travellers, visitors and commuters alike.”
Area bus times are also available from tourist information centres, bus stations, libraries and post offices, or by calling 01392 382800, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
