A section of the A377 Jubilee Terrace in Copplestone will be closed overnight on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 April to allow essential resurfacing work to take place.
The road will be closed between its junction with Dulings Meadow and Bewsley Hill from 7pm each evening and re-open no later than 7am each following morning in order to minimise disruption to daytime traffic on this busy route.
People who live or work within the area of the closure will be allowed access to homes and businesses during the night-time closures, although they may be asked to wait a short time until it is safe to do so. Pedestrians and cyclists who dismount will be able to use the pavement. Access will be maintained at all times for emergency vehicles.
An official signed diversion will be in place from Copplestone to North Tawton, to Whiddon Down, to Exeter, to Crediton and back to Copplestone.
As with any road closure the recommended diversion route must use roads of equal category, although motorists with good local knowledge may use minor roads to work their way around the closure and short cut the diversions.Posted in: Environment
