Bridge Road Exeter overnight closures
Posted on: 15 February 2016
The first overnight closures of the Bridge Road, Exeter widening scheme will take place next week.
The night-time road closures will enable site staff to safely establish the necessary traffic management to reduce the road to one lane each way.
Bridge Road will be closed from 10pm on Monday (22 February) and will re-open at 5am the following morning (Tuesday 23 February) with one lane open in each direction.
To complete the traffic management, the road will then close again at 10pm on Tuesday (23 February), re-opening at 5am the next day (Wednesday 24 February).
Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to continue to access Bridge Road throughout the closure, using the temporary pedestrian and cycle paths that are marked for their use.
The Glasshouse Lane/Bridge Road junction will be closed from 9am on Wednesday 24 February until 6pm on Saturday 27 February. The closure will enable utilities diversion work to be carried out, with trenches being dug across the junction. Temporary pedestrian and cycle paths will be marked across the junction throughout the closure.
