Council reminds people to vote this May

Posted on: 27 March 2017

Devon County Council is reminding people to make sure that they’re registered to vote, to take part in elections on Thursday 4 May.

County Council elections in England take place every four years, and this year 60 seats in Devon are up for grabs.

The call for voters to sign up comes as the Electoral Commission launches a national voter registration campaign to encourage as many people as possible to register ahead of elections taking place across the country this year.

The deadline for registration is Thursday 13 April, otherwise people will not be able to take part in the 4 May election.

To register online visit the Government’s website, or contact your local district council.
