Drainage and resurfacing work planned on A3072

A series of lane closures and overnight closures will be needed on the A3072 near Hatherleigh and Holsworthy for essential maintenance, starting Monday 29 March.
Drainage and resurfacing work will be carried out between Monday 29 March and Tuesday 25 May and will take place in four main areas of the A3072 – these are at Dunsland Cross, Garlands Moor, Golden Inn, and Greenslade to De Bathe Cross.
From Monday 29 March, drainage improvement work will be carried out at Golden Inn for four days, with lane closures in place from 7am-7pm until Thursday 1 April.
Work will resume at Golden Inn after the Easter bank holiday weekend. From Tuesday 6 April, daytime lane closures will again be in place from 7am-7pm for drainage work with resurfacing taking place during overnight closures from 7pm-7am, until Friday 16 April. The signed diversion route for vehicles during the overnight closures will be via A3072, A388, A386 and vice versa.
Dunsland Cross will be closed overnight (7pm-7am) from Monday 19 April to Friday 23 April. There will be two diversion routes for vehicles via –
Diversion route 1 for traffic to the north of the work is: A3072, A388, A386, A3072 and vice versa.
Diversion route 2 for traffic to the south of the work is: A3079, A386, A3072 and vice versa.
At Garlands Moor the overnight closures (7pm-7am) will be from the evening of Thursday 22 April to Friday 7 May. The signed diversion route will be via – A3072, A388, A386, A3072 and vice versa.
Greenslade Cross to De Bathe Cross will be closed overnight (7pm-7am) from Thursday 29 April to Friday 21 May. The signed diversion route will be via A3072 to A3124 towards A30, A30 Whiddon Down to Sourton Down, A386 Folly Gate, A3072 Jacobstowe.
Work will not be carried out at weekends or on bank holidays when the road will be fully open.
