Essential drainage maintenance on A361
Posted on: 20 June 2017
Essential drainage maintenance will be carried out overnight on part of the North Devon Link Road throughout July and August.
The existing filter drains on the section of the A361 between Sampford Peverell junction to Bolham Road junction will be refurbished overnight, starting on Monday 3 July and continuing for approximately nine weeks.
To minimise disruption, work will be carried out from 7pm to 7am for the duration of the scheme. Separately operated eastbound and westbound carriageway closures will be in place during July. The diversion route will be signed via A3126 Bolham Road, Lea Road, A396 Heathcoat Way, Blundells Road, Post Hill, High Street Halberton, Turnpike Sampford Peverell, Lower Town Sampford Peverell, A361 on-Slip, and vice versa.
Overnight single lane closures will be used during the month of August in both eastbound and westbound directions.
In order to minimise noise disturbance to local residents, work near homes will be undertaken between 7pm and 11pm.
