Gold Street and Station Road in Tiverton will be closed for 10 nights from Monday 16 September (week nights only) for essential resurfacing work.

The road has been inspected and prioritised for resurfacing. This work is needed to ensure the road is maintained in a safe condition and to maintain the structural integrity of the road.

This work will involve resurfacing the carriageway together with some repairs to the footpath. The majority of the work will be carried out at night to minimise disruption to the town centre.

To enable the work to be carried out safely the road will need to be temporarily closed between 7pm and 7am the following morning.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained and local shops and businesses will open as usual during the day. The road will be open as normal during the day.

Some work may also need to be carried out on Sunday to ensure we minimise disruption and complete the work on time.

This work is weather dependent so dates may vary. Any change to the start date or duration of works will be indicated on the advisory signs located on site.

No vehicles will be able to park on the road during the work. Access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained.

We apologise for any inconvenience this essential work causes and assure you that we are doing our best to minimise disruption.
