A section of the A39 near Clovelly will be closed for just over two weeks for essential maintenance, starting from next week.

Drainage improvements, resurfacing and pavement reconstruction will be carried out on a 1km stretch of the route, from west of Bucks Cross to Downland Cross, starting on Monday 19 February.

The work has been planned to start immediately after the school half term holiday, and is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday 7 March, ahead of the Easter period. The work schedule is subject to weather conditions.

The diversion route will be signed via A39 Bideford, A386 Landcross, Holsworthy, A3072 Stratton and A39.

Access will be maintained to properties located between Bucks Cross and Downland Cross during the closure.
