A section of Lea Road in Tiverton will be closed for five days from Monday 21 October to Friday 25 October to carry out essential resurfacing work.

The section to be resurfaced is from Rooks Way to Petrocs Roundabout and the road will be closed from 7am to 6pm each day. This work is weather dependant and times and dates could vary.

The old road surface will be removed, and new material laid to restore the road’s profile. Skidding resistance to protect the underlying road foundation from further damage will also be added.

No vehicles will be able to park on the road during the work. Access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained. For all other vehicles the official signed diversion route will be in place via the A361 and A396 Heathcoat Way.

The work will be carried out in sections to enable residents living adjacent to the closure to have vehicular access to their properties for the majority of the time by following temporary signs or liaising with the site foreman. Pedestrian access will be available throughout the work.

Any change to the start date or duration of works will be indicated on the advisory signs located on site.

The scheme will be carried out by contractor SWH.
