In Cllr Trail’s personal life, he is an active walker, and enjoys gardening and course and sea fishing.

On becoming Chairman, Cllr Trail thanked people of Devon who have worked hard throughout the pandemic for following the public health guidelines, and gave his condolences to those families who have lost loved ones.

He also praised the NHS, emergency services, key workers and the range of people who have kept Devon going during the pandemic, through hard work and determination.
