Posted on: 18 May 2017
Overnight temporary traffic signals will be in place on the A361 Portmore Roundabout, Barnstaple, over four evenings next week.
As part of the £1.5 million scheme to increase the capacity of the roundabout, road surfacing and lining work will be carried out each evening from Monday (22 May) to Thursday 25 May.
The temporary three-way signals will be in operation overnight from 7pm each evening and will be removed before 7am the following morning. All traffic management restrictions at the roundabout will be temporarily removed on Friday 26 May and over the bank holiday weekend (27-29 May)
Further work will then continue on the verges as well as the installation of signs and streetlighting ahead of the scheduled completion by mid June.
Work is being carried out by contractor Alun Griffiths Ltd.
