Vital resurfacing and improvement work on the Alverdiscott Road Roundabout, Bideford, starts on Wednesday April 1 and is due to be completed on Friday April 17.

The works will require temporary traffic lights for the duration of the works which may cause some delays.

And to protect the workforce and to minimise the disruption he road will be closed to vehicles overnight from Tuesday April 14 to Friday April 17.

On each of these nights the road will close at 7.30pm each day, reopening no later than 6am the following morning.

No day-time road closures are expected for the work.
The work will include relaying kerbs, replacing the road surface on the roundabout and a section of Manteo Way, and work to protect the underlying road foundation from further damage.

The official signed diversion route will be in place via Manteo Way, B3233 Barnstaple Street, Station Hill and Torrington Lane.

Any changes will be indicated on the advisory signs located on site. We apologise for any inconvenience the work may cause.

The scheme will be carried out by contractor Skanska
