A number of lane closures will be needed on the A380 over the next two weeks for routine inspections to be undertaken.

Survey and investigation work will be carried out ahead of future repairs to the pavement and barriers, and maintenance of the bridge deck on Ware Barton bridges.

The following daytime lane closures will be in place from 9:30am to 3:30pm:

Wednesday 2 August – closure of inside lane at Ware Barton southbound to south of the Teign Viaduct;

Thursday 3 August – closure of inside lane of Ware Barton southbound if it needs completion. If complete, the inside lane of Kingsteignton northbound to Eagle Farm will be closed;

Wednesday 9 August – closure of inside lane for remaining work at Kingsteignton northbound;

Thursday 10 August – closure of inside lane at Gappah Lane/Wapperwell.

A week of overnight closures is also planned for sections of the A380 for the week commencing Monday 2 October. The closures will be from 8pm to 6am and will affect the north bound side at Kingsteignton and Telegraph Hill for two nights, the south bound side for two nights with one night remaining for either side. Additional information will be available nearer the time. Signed diversions will be in place for the closures.

The night time closures will enable the completion of the survey work and will also include surfacing and other maintenance work in order to minimise the duration and disruption of the main work.
