A big boost on spending for adult social care, health and children’s services is being planned by Devon County Council despite continuing Government cuts.
Devon County Council’s budget is in the black for the 26th consecutive year. But the council’s deputy leader John Clatworthy is warning that a further £37 million may have to be cut from spending next year in order to balance the books.
Devon County Council’s budget is in the black for the 26th consecutive year. The authority underspent by £43,000 in the 2016/17 financial year on a net revenue budget of £492.922 million.
