From this week a mobile COVID-19 Community Testing Centre will stop at two additional communities, Holsworthy and Moretonhampstead. The additional stops mean that the times of the previous scheduled visits at all of the Devon County Council-run sites have had to change.
You can now get tested in more than 25 community testing centres, or order a home test kit online for home delivery or pick up a home test kit at testing centres and selected pharmacies
If you are a childminder, foster carer, bus driver who drives children to school, or you work in a before-school breakfast club or provide after-school childcare, you can all access the rapid lateral flow tests.
From tomorrow a mobile facility will be available every week to test those without symptoms
Those not displaying symptoms and who come in contact with the public, such as carers, are urged to get regularly tested
Testing will start East Devon from this weekend and in West Devon from March 4
Devon County Council is contacting businesses in the Exeter area to encourage firms whose staff attend the workplace rather than work from home, to take up lateral flow tests to identify carriers of the virus, if they’re not already accessing regular testing.
Devon County Council is launching a community testing programme to identify asymptomatic carriers of the coronavirus, people who show no symptoms, and is encouraging critical workers and others who are not already receiving regular testing, to start booking their appointments.
