Devon and Cornwall Police have launched a campaign to raise awareness of County Lines – urban gangs supplying drugs to suburban areas and coastal towns. The public can help disrupt the supply by spotting the signs of such criminal activity in their community and reporting it.
Devon County Council will phase out its use of the most polluting single-use plastic products within two years. Members of the Council’s Cabinet voted unanimously to support to the move, which is part of a new action plan to help cut the amount of single-use plastic waste in Devon.
Damaged expansion joints and cover plates at the west end of Torridge Bridge, near Bideford, have been replaced but inspections have shown that emergency work is needed on another section of the bridge
Torridge Bridge will be closed overnight as planned from 7pm on Wednesday (7 March) as refurbishment work continues. It will re-open by 7am the following morning
