Improvements to the Alverdiscott roundabout will take place between Monday 3 August until Tuesday 18 August. The work is to be completed in two phases and will involve both temporary traffic lights and some overnight closures.

The work was previously programmed to be carried out in April, but due to coronavirus it had to be suspended until safe to do so.

Phase one will involve the relaying of kerbs. Temporary traffic lights will be put in place from Monday 3 August until Friday 7 August. During this period, please be aware that this may cause some delays to traffic.

Phase two will be undertaken using overnight road closures to enable the resurfacing of both the roundabout and a section of Manteo Way to be carried out safely.

This work will take place on the evenings of Thursday 13 August and Friday 14 August, and then overnight on Monday 17 August and Tuesday 18 August. To minimise disruption, the work will occur overnight from 7pm and will be completed no later than 6am the following morning.

A signed diversion route will be in place via Manteo Way, and B3233. Any change to the start date or duration of the work will be indicated on the advisory signs located on site.
